Jan Hancock began her career in real estate in 1975, working in her family’s business in Melbourne’s outer-northeast. This foundation provided a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of real estate, paving the way for her specialization in property valuation. In 1987, Jan was invited to join the Land Valuation Boards of Review, later continuing her contributions as a sessional member of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) Land Valuation List from its inception in 2000 until 2017.

Jan holds esteemed qualifications, including Fellowship with the Australian Property Institute Certified Practising Valuer, status as a Licensed Estate Agent, and recognition as a Nationally Accredited Mediator. Jan also possesses Professional Certificates as a Specialist Retail Valuer and in the Giving of Expert Evidence.
